Stretching here, exhaling there, avoiding releasing
gas then...
You're probably wondering what I'm on about. It
involved stretching to make my body feel "tall" apparently (didn't
think my body could do such a thing), curling up in a ball and standing on my
head with my arms flailing (just kidding about the last one). I finally went to a Pilates class at my gym. After reading numerous toned celebs in magazines stating
their daily routine of Pilates and eating two grapes, I thought I'd give it a
go. Not the two grapes part, just the class. I arrived to a class of slim 60-somethings and the odd few men which I didn't expect. The polish
instructor resembled a hippy with bohemian frizzy hair and harem pants,
nonetheless she was good at what she taught. An hours session of stretching and
screeching and tensing my "buttocks" was actually surprisingly
refreshing. Whether it actually did anything to my core muscles or not I guess I'll never know.. but I definitely recommend for the stress-cluttered-minds like my own.
