London Underground

I like the blurred motion created of the walker down the stairs by the slow shutter speed; it shows the busy times of London (practically always!) It took me a few attempts and some patience to get this shot as at times there were too many commuters!
The second shot shows a calm stairwell after the rush of people had gone. I like how the bright yellow, freshly painted strips on the steps contrast with the dark exposure of the entire picture. I edited it by decreasing the brightness levels as I wanted to give the stairwell/tunnel a sense of darkness and mystery. The yellow lines were intensified by increasing the saturation levels and this gives a strong lead in to the picture for the viewer's eye.
