chasing light

I think I've reached the conclusion that as much as I adore photography, I don't think I'd ever follow it for a career, just a hobby. I get these days or moments where I just go mad and crave taking photographs or I spam my whole Instagram news feed with (pretty pointless) pictures. Just love it. There is something so pleasing about a photograph you've taken, though most would say all you have to do it press a button.. well yes but in the most non "artisty-bullshitty-mentally-estranged" way- it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!

After using Leanne Surfleet (a superly duperly good photographer) as a reference in my Unit 1 Photography project, emailing her, getting a response AND getting a follow back from her on Instagram; I've always wanted to try out her sunlight/shadows pictures. Seeing as sunlight is such a rarity in Britain, I definitely jumped at the chance today- all be it a tad too excitedly- when I noticed the faint blind strokes on the wall from the sun earlier. Here's some photos I took earlier using my iPhone, edited with an app called Polaroid and then uploaded on the beloved Instagram. Fun fun fun

Inspired by the lovely Leanne Surfleet, her photos are worth a peek at www.leannesurfleet.com
