foooooodies!

Long time no blog! If you follow me on Instagram or have me on Facebook you've probably been inundated with these pictures before. Sorry. By no means at all am I uploading these to make you food junkie lovers feel guilty, this is just what I personally like and hopefully maybe it inspires others for a bit of variety in their meals or just a change up if you're bored of the same food! Some of you might just vom at the sight of the colour green on a plate, so I get that this isn't to everybody's taste.. if you'll pardon the pun.

I'm a bit of a (ok understatement).. a biggish health freak - but most people always assume being healthy means eating a bunch of carrots, a grape, a 10L tank of water and a bag of air. Wrong.

I get a lot of people wanting to know what meals I have and the recipe ideas, so here you go :) Meal preps are pretty vital if you want to be able to eat healthily on the go. Maybe I'm just weird and enjoy cooking- some of you, especially those my age, probably don't! Something as simple as a prepped lunch gets me through the long hours at school or wearing hours at work when I know I've got a (somewhat embarrassing..) little plastic lunchbox with me filled with tastiness. Along with a side of 10 cups of tea of course.

Row 1 - Breakfasts L-R:
/ Poached egg and salmon slice on toasted wholemeal bread with grilled mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach /
/ Low fat greek style yoghurt topped with mango, pomegranate, and Mornflake cranberry muesli /
/ Jordan's rolled oats porridge made with water and skim milk, half a chopped apple, ground cinnamon and topped with low fat greek style yoghurt, chia seeds and sunflower seeds /

Row 2 - Lunches L-R:
/ Two soft boiled eggs, half slice wholemeal bread cut into soldiers with butter, and grilled asparagus tips wrapped in wafer thin ham /
/ Wagamama's mandarin and sesame chicken salad /
/ Brown rice in yoghurt and paprika, red pepper, sweetcorn, spring onion, cucumber, spinach and turkey /

Row 3 - Dinners L-R:
/ Giraffe Penang-Bang Chicken Salad (best thing ever)
/ Grilled chicken breast, roasted veg and tomato and basil puy lentils /
/ Grilled courgettes and rocket salad topped with almond flakes, spring onion, feta cheese and sundried tomatoes /

Don't get me wrong I definitely don't think I'm a foodie expert (I have zilch qualified knowledge on health etc I've just researched and learnt the obvious stuff myself).
So if you keel over after one of my meal ideas - blame the supermarket you bought the ingredients from ok..

More foodies likely to be continued on my Instagram if you want to follow @chloelouisehammond

Just uploading this extra image because it looks pretty. Anybody else suddenly just get hungry??

strength shoot

Our latest theme for Unit 4 Photography was given to us as 'Growth and Evolution' which has been pretty hard to get into, as its very very verrrry similar (we've all moaned and groaned 24/7 about this) to our Unit 3 theme of 'evolution and revolution'... So I've been trying hard to think up some new ideas and in the end rebranded my entire book to be based on 'Strength and Growth'.
These are photos from shoot 2 and I'm actually dead pleased with how they came out :) Taken on my Canon in the school photography studio, edited initially using photoshop and then imported onto my iPad to edit using Afterlight, Mextures and Moldiv. This shoot is kinda weird I guess. I like it

Thank you to my stunning model Victoria Swain for just being her pretty self and making my photos look fab!

typography. word of warning

Typefaces in The European House of Photography in Paris. More fascinated by pretty text than pretty photos. All images edited using Afterlight and Mextures.

hatha yoga

Hatha yoga on a Sunday is becoming a habit. I have never felt so relaxed and happy after a class. It actually shocked me how painful and difficult some aspects of yoga can be, despite people thinking its just stretching or sitting to whale-like spiritual music haha. The last half hour or so of this class is the relaxation/cooldown section (known as "sivasana") where we lie flat on the mats. Just before that, the instructor tells us to choose and read two cards at random along with a lavender scented eye pillow whilst we play sleeping lions (joking, but thats what it looks like) Bliss. Todays tarot-style card didn't really suit me all that much if I'm honest but still. I've decided that

I'm going to photograph the cards I get given from every class that I manage to get to. Just because.

what would bey do?

You know those cute websites you stumble upon and you just want everything even though you don't actually need any of it? Yeah that just happened with Charm & Gumption. The beauty of following random fashion, graphic design, beauty and photographer bloggers on Bloglovin is that I spend hours (yep, on a Saturday night. Tell me to get out more) trailing through my unread posts and find fab boutique stores online. It's like they squashed a human me into a website. Tons of typography, photo frames, mugs (tea potential), decor and itsy-bitsy pointless accessories that are just plain cute. My wishlist..

My absolute favourite must-have are the What Would Bey Do? pencils. I'd use these in an exam, read the quote, then dramatically stand up and break out into Love On Top. Just because.

chasing more and more and more light...

Praying we start to see Spring. I've missed you sunshine..
I do wash and brush my hair, honest. Fluffy ball of tangles by the looks of it though
