wardrobe revamp: without the bank-blow

Well, a lot more than I used to to say that least. Page views are the highest they've ever been and that's really motivating me, so thank you readers! After my "collar tips and burgundy lips" post proved popular, I think I'm going to try more posts like that. This was my outfit of today and the point of this post is to show how easy it is style-copy brands without the bank-blow. As a student I'm saving for University comes September (hopefully!) and I also need the money for all my summer pleasures i.e. MALIA!, any festivals I decide to go to, activities with friends, parties etc. Oh and how could I forget.. I'm building up a huge savings account for my super huge spend out in New York come 4th September, eeeek.
Like any other 18 year old girl I'm a huge fan of high end fashion shops like Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Zara and the like but sometimes I tell myself to stop spending so much money on the 'label' itself and shop elsewhere. Secondly, it gets so wearing turning up to school in clothes everybody else already has, so I like to vary my clothes from time to time and give my wardrobe a revamp.

My latest fashion hang up? Tesco's new clothing range! Our local store has just had it's clothing department renovated and I've bought items occasionally from there before, so I went in on the weekend and saw so many nice things. Including this cobalt blazer featured..

Cobalt blazer:  F+F @ Tesco | Frilly Camisole: F+F @ Tesco | Jersey Midi: George @ Asda | Tights: Primark | Boots: Topshop

Necklace: tiffany & co

a. Tiny cross drop earrings | b. eyeliner flicks. I spy with my little eye, a chicken pox scar! | c. (top to bottom) Tiffany-replica ring, Pandora Sapphire Birthstone, Pandora Oxidised Flower, Pandora Enamel Twist | d. Tiffany-replica engraved with 'Mother' from Etsy. My mum has the matching 'daugher' engraved one, I love them. All Pandora's are presents from two aunties and my closest friends.

scumptious scrambling - lunch of today

My friend at work often goes on my blog, and she recommend I do more blog posts on things I eat. So here we are, I decided to feature my lunch today as it looked pretty fancy and tasted extremely good. It comes across as more of a breakfast but nonetheless, it was a damn tasty, yet healthy lunch! I also wanted it to be high protein as it's cardio day at the gym for me tonight :) Enjoy, I hope this makes you hungry xo

I've also started tackling my Blogger's New Years Resolution of HTML and reasearched how to do proper photo format/alignment and text line height for this post. Hurrah

Tea is the epitome of this household. We (Ok.. I) drink a lot of it. So much so that we have a lack of space to store the many tea bags. In the biscuit tin is my Decaf Yorkshire Tea, regular Red Label tea goes in the Tea tin, a box of Twinings Green tea and usually some other herbal tea is usually somewhere around too! Most people just like regular tea, but I definitely recommend green tea, it's something different, it's full of antioxidants, it's tummy soothing, apparently boosst metabolism and after a while it becomes really tasty and easy on the tastebuds.
As a small side to compliment the scrambled eggs, I had Fat Free Total Greek yoghurt which is beyond yummy yet somehow super tasty AND without any of the added sugar that most fat free labels add in. I topped up with some more superfood blueberries, pumpkin seeds (protein crunch) and a drizzle of squeezy honey.

Jay Z - Decoded. A must watch media campaign..

Must watch. This is absolutely extraordinary. This.. This is the kind of thing I want to be a part of in a future career! I cannot comprehend how complex this publicity campaign is, how much money must have been invested and just simply how bloody amazing it is?! I mean, a book page on the floor of swimming pool in Miami. Wow.
I'm really not a huge fan of Jay Z's music I'm not going to lie, but he's definitely just caught my attention..

i wish glitter fell from my tears - latest photo shoot

So for one of my mid-book shoots and my Unit 3 A2 Level Photography final piece I decided to make things really difficult for myself, as usual. This shoot required me initially to do a self-portrait, at night time, using glitter, UV paint, a UV torch, lemonade, glass and a self-time cable release. I'm clumsy. Do you see where this is going. Can you predict my problems.
Last weekend I began my shoot during a sudden burst of motivation at 10.30pm and I didn't finish until 1.30am. I was really happy and thought the shoot had gone well, only to find the majority of the shots were out of focus, my carpet had been glitter-fied and UV paint is one hell of a bitch to peel off my cheeks. In the end after a tantrum of frustration at how much time I'd spent on the shoot, I re-did it with my fave model Amy Draper, a prop assistant no other than Mama Hammond, the school's softbox and heaps more glitter and UV paint less than a week before the deadline! I'm fairly happy with the outcomes, it's not my favourite shoot but it'll do. Inspiration came from Elizabeth Gadd's "Amazing Magic" photo (featured at the end).

In case any of you are totally and completely baffled, it's supposed to run along my theme "To Infinity & Beyond" and represents glittery tears falling from my 'emotionally broken' model's eyes into a glass of tears. Decided to do a sort of fantasy, alien-inspired type shoot..

What I hate most is the pink glare coming from the UV torch, which kinda ruins the whole effect really but never mind.. :(

It's..... mystic meg! Hah
I like this one :)

That's blue curacao in that glass haha, yum
